Experience the ultimate seaplane training

Earn your EASA seaplane rating SEP(SEA) between fjords and glaciers in one of the most beautiful countries in the world. If you dream of the freedom of Alaskan or Canadian wilderness, Norway is the closest you can get in Europe. In most European countries waterways are closed or very restricted for seaplanes. Often seaplane training facilities are confined and students are not able to experience the real freedom and diversity of seaplane flying, including coastal waters, fjords and mountain lakes.

Including all islands, bays and fjords the coastline of Norway measures over 50.000 km which is mostly open for seaplanes and offers endless training areas and conditions. During the summer months the midnight sun allows almost 24 hours of daylight flying. Flying your seaplane over a white glacier in the midnight sun with your sunglasses on is one of the most fascinating things you can do as pilot.

The seaplane rating will not only give you permission to the world of water flying it will also make you a better pilot. Getting comfortable with off-airport landings, learning to read the wind and your environment are valuable skills that will make you a safer, more knowledgeable pilot also on other planes you might fly.

The Legendary Cessna 180 Skywagon

Experience excellence in training with the Versatile Cessna 180B

Our choice of training aircraft is the legendary Cessna 180 Skywagon, a true bushplane on floats, wheels and skis. Our 1959 Cessna 180B has a 230 hp Continantal O-470 engine with Autofuel STC, 4 seats and PK 3000 straight floats. Billed as the “businessman`s airplane” in 1953 it is still the favorite for bushpilots all around the world today due to its solid construction and reliable performance. For sure you can do your training on simpler and cheaper aircraft out there but the bigger engine, constant speed prop and reasonable payload gives us more flexibility to explore different training environments and conditions during your training up to multiple day trips along the Norwegian coast.
